Landscape

- Artist: Alix Aymé
- Dimensions: 100 x 150 cm
- Materials: Lacquer

- This is a painting imbued with Aymé's distinct character from her lacquer work research and a combination of Western expression and Easter subjects which was conceived and perfected throughout her travels around Indochina. In this painting, the details on the banana leaves, local people and their interactions with the surroundings are captured with sentiments and dynamics of an everyday scene in rural Vietnam which clearly expresses the artist’s love for the idyllic, rustic look of nature accompanied by people of the tropical country, where it appears not only primitive but also attractive.
