- Duong Dinh Sang soon moved from drawing landscapes to drawing shapes and people, especially subjects of Hue, where he was born and attached with his whole life. The character in the painting 'The girl and the lotus' can be used as a typical example. The woman is wearing ‘áo dài’, a traditional Vietnamese dress that highlights her slender figure, her delicate hand holds a lotus bud, her expression conveys a gentle but also enigmatic composure, the woman in the painting is expressed in such harmony with the traditional beauty of the ancient capital, exuding a unique, captivating charm only by Hue women.
 

Dương Đình Sang (1950-2005)

- Born on September 3, 1950 and died on October 18, 2005 in Hue.

- Graduated from Hue College of Fine Arts in 1972.

- Former lecturer at Hue University of Arts.

- As a member of the Fine Arts Association of Thua Thien Hue province, a member of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, he has made many significant contributions to Hue fine arts.
