- Referring to Duong Bich Lien, people often said that 'Phai street, Lien woman' (literal translation). He spent a lot of time composing on women's themes, most of which became masterpieces of Vietnamese art in the second half of the 20th century. Painter Duong Bich Lien specialises in portraiture and as a diverse artist, he depicts the beautiful young women he encounters in everyday life with passion and affection. Dương Bích Liên (1892-1956)

- Born in 1892 in Ha Noi in a family of intellectuals.

- He was one of the last students of Indochina School of Fine Arts, class XVIII (1944-1945).

- In 2000, painter Duong Bich Lien was awarded the Ho Chi Minh Prize for Literature and Art.
