Thematic Exhibition 11-2023: Teachers' Appreciation in Vietnamese Art

1925 - 1945 was considered the beginning period of modern Vietnamese Fine Arts, originating from the establishment of the Indochina College of Fine Arts in Hanoi. The school was co-founded by two well-known artists: one was a painter representing traditional Vietnamese art - Nguyen Nam Son and the other came from France with new mindset and techniques - Victor Tardieu. Many graduated artists after becoming famous continued teaching at school to pass on their passions to the next generations.

For this month's thematic corner, Quang San Art Museum is thrilled to introduce a special exhibition titled "TEACHERS' APPRECIATION IN VIETNAMESE ART" as a celebration to Vietnamese Teacher's Day - November 20th. By displaying 22 selected works from Quang San Collection to honor lecturers who had made great contributions in preserving, nurturing, and developing our country's art, not only in the early period but also to the modern days.
