Quang San Museum of Art is honored to present to the art-loving public the third remarkable solo exhibition titled “Weaving Emotions” by artist Nguyễn Viết Thanh.
After graduating from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts in 1986, artist Nguyen Viet Thanh spent a long period before officially introducing his personal works to the public. It wasn't until 2005 that Nguyen Viet Thanh held his first solo exhibition at the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum. At that time, the media called him a "reclusive artist," but in reality, those were difficult years of hardship during the subsidy period, forcing him to put aside his passion. Therefore, his first exhibition bore a strong imprint of exploration and experimentation, expressed through various styles based on his personal feelings during his "reclusive" years.
By 2017, his second solo exhibition at the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association marked a significant turning point. The public and professionals truly recognized the maturity in his artistic thinking and a unique, unmistakable creative style. This exhibition affirmed a distinct voice, a strong personal identity in the world of painting.
Coming to this "Weaving Emotions" exhibition, held at the Quang San Art Museum, further affirms the independent artistic path that artist Nguyen Viet Thanh has chosen. This is not only an extension of the emotions and experiences accumulated in life but also an exploration of a new emotional flow, closely linked to deep memories and cherished nostalgia. The "Weaving Emotions" exhibition will offer viewers the opportunity to immerse themselves in the colorful and emotional art world of Nguyen Viet Thanh. Each artwork is a subtle "empathy" between the artist's soul and the reality of life, expressed through unique lines, compositions, and colors. This is an opportunity to discover the profound layers of meaning, the silent stories that the artist wants to convey through his works.
We cordially invite you to visit and experience “Weaving Emotions”, an exhibition that offers a unique artistic vibration brought to life by Nguyễn Viết Thanh.
