Exhibition “The Curious Deep” - 10-year-old artist Nguyen Minh Quan

Introducing the exhibition “The Curious Deep”

A story of the ocean through the eyes of 10-year-old artist Nguyen Minh Quan.
International Children's Day on June 1st is a special occasion to celebrate and inspire the talents of the younger generation. In honor of this meaningful day, Quang San Art Museum, in collaboration with 84Space, is proud to present the exhibition “The Curious Deep”, featuring the 10-year-old artist Nguyen Minh Quan.

In today’s world, where children are exposed to countless technological choices and a wide variety of toys, Minh Quan, a 10-year-old boy, stands out as a unique case—having discovered a deep passion for both science and art at an early age. His profound love for the ocean has driven him to choose painting as a unique medium to tell his own childhood stories—innocent, profound, and free-spirited.

Minh Quan’s first solo exhibition, "The Curious Deep", is more than just an art event. The title itself carries a deeper meaning, subtly intertwining his two greatest interests: science and art. Though seemingly opposite, these fields are brought together in Quan’s work in a harmonious and distinctive way. Sparked by a fascination with fish and a curiosity for exploring marine life, Quan’s ocean-themed artworks are emotionally rich and diverse. They depict various marine habitats and narrate vibrant stories of the sea.

The “The Curious Deep” exhibition is not only a significant artistic milestone showcasing a remarkable young talent, but also a heartfelt tribute to a father’s promise—one who has been by Minh Quan’s side, nurturing his passion for art from the very beginning.
